Franklin's Julie Collins can't explain how the mine tax will work in an embarrassing doorstop interview this morning

Liberal Senator for Tasmania, David Bushby, today said Labor Federal Member for Franklin, Julie Collins, showed how incapable she was of understanding even the basics of a policy which would hit business and investment right across her own electorate.

"In an embarrassing doorstop outside Parliament House this morning Franklin MP Julie Collins couldn't even explain how the mining tax will work, let alone, how it will impact on the mines and quarries in her electorate," Senator Bushby said.

It is appalling that the Federal Labor Member can't even tell us how the mine tax will hit her local mines or those in the rest of Tasmania or Australia. Collins

She even had the gall to claim it was a “good thing” for her electorate.

Try telling that to the people who work in the local mines and quarries which will be hit by the mine tax in Julie Collin's marginal electorate of Franklin.
